I was called to the Bar in 2016 and accept briefs to appear in all jurisdictions.
l regularly appear before the Coroners Court of NSW, the Local Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, Supreme Court of NSW and the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW.
Since being called to the Bar in 2016, I have appeared in well over 30 coronial inquests before the NSW Coroners Court for various interested parties, such as police officers, corrective services officers, and the family of the deceased. Inquests I have appeared in have concerned police shootings and the use of lethal force, police pursuits, deaths in custody, the death of police officers, and have involved medical issues such as drug toxicity and mental illness.
I have appeared before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission in matters such as the Commissioner of Police’s power to remove a police officer under the Police Act 1990.
I provide written advice on a range of matters and undertake pro bono work.
Prior to being called to the Bar, I worked as a Solicitor in private practice, and then as the In-House Counsel for a large industrial organisation.

Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union v Broadspectrum Australia Pty Ltd [2017] FWCFB 269 – Industrial Law; interpretation of an industrial instrument.

Inquest into the death of MC – appeared for a police officer involved in a police critical incident where the officer used lethal force. The case was the first case where the Coroners Court of NSW found a death to have been a suspect provoked shooting and therefore a “self-inflicted” death under the Coroners Act 2009.
Inquests into the deaths of Robin MacDonald, Colin Webb and Brian Wilson (Dungog flood) – appeared for a member of the State Emergency Service.
Inquest into the death of Stephen Hodge – appeared for two police officers involved in a police critical incident where lethal force was used.
Inquest into the death of Rebecca Maher – appeared for a police officer in a death in police custody.
Inquest into the death of David Dungay – death in Corrective Services NSW custody, and appeared for three Corrective Services officers.
Inquest into the death of Danukul Mokmool – appeared for police officers involved in a police critical incident at Central Railway Station where lethal force was used.
Inquest into the death of Nick Newman – appeared for police officers involved in a police critical incident where lethal force was used.
